About the event
French wines are often misunderstood and labeled as impossible to understand for most people. France has one of the oldest wine traditions in the world and their superb and sublime qualities have made this wine region a premium leading one in the world.
French Wine does not have to be complicated and we are here to help you navigate the waters so you can appreciate it more and share it with friends.
Our French Wine Scholar Educator, Alex Lopez, is a walking encyclopedia on French Wines and we are thrilled that he is hosting this class. If you follow him on social media you know he is funny and makes wine easy and fun for everyone to understand. This won't be a boring lecture but rather an interactive experience to learn about the main French wine regions, how to identify them, and what to expect from each of them.
We will explore Champagne, Bordeaux, and Burgundy and we will include some light appetizers to go with the experience. We will learn how to read a French wine label, the regions, climate, main varietals, and styles they produce.
